My past projects. Both personal and from clients!
I was asked on by Justin from Sky9Games to create a soundtrack for the rouge card battler, CraftAway!
Slay The Spire meets Paper Mario and Minecraft and Justin wanted a musical mixture of all three. Plenty of wackiness and creative!
After the FusionFall Legacy, I partnered up with Shovel Team (formally known as Shovelware Studios) to create some music for their Roblox Obbies.
Super Slime Simulator in particular was fun because we ended up using many layers to dynamically adapt to the player’s slime growth.
Shrunken School Obby on the other hand give me a chance to do some heavy jazz work.
This is a giant fan remake of a MMORPG featuring Cartoon Network IPs like Kids Next Door, Power Puff Girls, and Ed Edd & Eddy.
The team behind this project thought the original soundtrack was too monotoned for a massive collection of characters and sought me out to add more color and depth to the soundtrack.
This was an RPG Adventure game by Jison Labs Inspired by the Mario & Luigi RPG series and Undertale.Â
Dylan from Jison Labs was looking for a cohesive soundtrack and thought my solution of Musical Identity was a right fit for the project.
Â
RPG Maker XP was one of the main OSTs I was inspired by developing my style (and my music packs).
This is a collect of old remixes I did and posted on YouTube as a fun little side project. Some are completely out of their original styles.
Shoot me a quick email so when can get started!
You got questions? I got answers!
Q: Do you do Sound Effects?
A: I “do not create Sound Effects“ but I “can look for Sound Effects upon request“ only. In addition, I also edit sounds I find (or ones you provide to me) for a fee. The charge is determined by the amount of sounds wanted and is negotiable.
Q: I need Live Instruments. Can you record realistic Live Instruments?
A: I myself do not but I do have the means and avenues to hire session musicians. The average session musician ranges from $50 – $250 per minute or hour depending on their services (their rates; not mine). If really needed, we’ll have to discuss it up front first.
Q: Can you create sheet music, notation, or lead sheets?
A: Yes. Depending on the amount of instruments need, I’ll need 4 – 12 days. My starting rate is $100 per song.
Q: Do I own the music after you’ve created it?
A: Once you’ve finalized the track and payment is received, you gain exclusive & commercial rights to the track. I do not ask for Royalties or any long-term fees beyond this. The only exception is if you request a additional changes afterward, which would be treated a separate commission.
Q: What if I want to sell the soundtrack?
A: I will ask for a percentage per sale depending on how much work has gone into the creation of the soundtrack. Regardless of agreed rate, I will always demand proper credit clearly displayed on the store front listing and/or cover art.
Q: Do you sign NDAs upon request?
A: Yes! Not a big deal to me. I need to be notified of this very early in the relationship.
Q: Do you have any rights to your music?
A: Unless agreed upon otherwise, I maintain the right to promote any music I make for you regardless of the project’s status of completion for marketing purposes (blog posts, social media, live-streaming, etc). The only exception is if a NDA is involved. I’m open to discussing this further if needed.
Q: What is your process?
A: Using your references, I start by drafting a MIDI which allows me to get the rough idea out first (imagine an artist’s pencil sketch or lineart without coloring). I then program a few of my instruments and send you half MIDI, half programmed as a demo. Upon approval, I program the rest of the instruments which often ends up being the beta/final.
Q: What kind of references do you need?
A: In nearly all cases, I need a strong audio reference for each track. A good reference should be your ideal placeholder music. I’d also appreciate a short description of what exactly you like about it but not mandatory. I can work with concept art as well.
Q: How do you handle revisions?
A: I provide unlimited revisions.
Q: How long does it take complete a track?
A: From draft to final usually takes me between 4-9 days depending on complexity of the track. Note that when I ask for feedback or awaiting a response, I stop working on the song until my inquiry is addressed. This is to avoid unnecessary back tracking on my end.
Q: Do you offer Rush delivery if my project is on a tight deadline?
A: Yes, although I do charge differently. Instead of per-minute, I charge a flat $400 per track regardless of how long it is. In exchange, I heavily prioritize your project above all others. I must be notified a full week in advance if you need Rush Delivery! Additionally, you must provide a fast/exclusive contact directly to you or a representative to prevent hang ups.
Q: How will we communicate?
A: My preferred method of contact is my email or my Discord for private messaging. I’ll also be sending deliveries this way as well. If you’d prefer another method, let me know in advance.
Q: How often will you check in with progress?
A: I prefer to check in weekly with progress updates and Works In Progress (WIPs). Ideally, I aim for every Friday. I’m open to more or less check ins as needed. If something important comes up, I will let you know in advance.
Audio References
To get the best results for custom music services, I need a good reference (preferably 3 per track) of whatever music you’ve been using/envisioning for the project this far.
Tell me what specifically what you like about the reference (the melody, the mood, the chords, etc.)
I take these elements and use it as a basis for the project’s unique sound.
Pricing Model
Example using $160 per minute:
0:15 = $40 ($80 [30s] / 2)
0:30 = $80 ($160 [1m] / 2)
0:45 = $120 ($80 [0:30s] + $40 [15s])
1m = $160
1:15 = $200 ($160 [1m] + $40 [15s])
1:30 = $240 ($160 [1m] + $80 [30s])
1:45 = $280 ($160 [1m] + $120 [45s])
2m = $320
2:15 = $360
2:30 = $400
2:45 = $440
3m = $480
Bulk Orders
What I consider a bulk order is receiving multiple custom requests for the same game.
I prefer to have documentation containing all of the music if readily available.
